2017-18 NCHS BAND BOOSTERS CONCESSIONS FUNDRAISING
OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL BAND FAMILIES TO HELP with a very important and high income ($12k) BBA fundraising activity that benefits and needs support from all NCHS bands (curricular and extra-curricular bands and groups). We also offer concessions volunteering as service hours to TriM, NHS and any other NCHS student service organization or students that need to acquire volunteer hours.
The second largest NCHS BBA fundraiser is running the Winter Concessions for home basketball (Girls and Boys), wrestling, gymnastics and some swim meets. The profit from running the NCHS concessions stand is considerable and provides all bands with funds for new music, larger instruments, clinics and more.
Our 2017-18 Concessions Chair is Rosemary Sedlak. This is the Sedlak family’s 3rd year working with the aspects of running the concessions stand. We would like to find two people to shadow Rosemary and take over as Concessions Chairs for next year!
Our 2017-18 Concessions Buyer is Stacy Estoll. She knows the concessions stand inside and out (she and her family have volunteered to work concessions for several years).
2017-18 Concessions Volunteer Dates
We have 24 concessions dates this school year beginning on 12/1. This year we are making concessions more fun!
- New this year: We will have a monthly drawing for Downtown Naperville gift certificates. All those who work in the concessions stand each month are eligible to win! Instrument sections (flutes, clarinets, percussion, etc) are encouraged to pick dates and challenge other sections to participate. Prizes will be awarded in February to the section with the most “Concessions Spirit”.
- Families are encouraged to pick a date or dates and volunteer together to fill up a concessions date or shift. Several families have already done this!
Here are the dates that we will need Adult and Student Help. Some dates are just one shift. Others are multiple shifts for larger tournaments or multiple events. Please see the next section for a description of each volunteer area.
