Marching Redhawks -Injury Prevention/Athletic Safety FUNDRAISER

Update:  Thank you to AP&W for a generous $350 donation!

Advanced Performance and Wellness (AP&W) is offering the Marching Redhawks and their families an overview of injury prevention and athletic safety on 8/31 at 1:45 pm during the last 15 minutes of rehearsal.  Families are welcome and encouraged to attend! This will be lead by Dr. Krista Ribando, D. C.

Dr. Krista has a background in marching band as well as athletic training and is offering this presentation to us at no cost.  In fact, the Marching Redhawks will receive a donation from AP&W for every student and parent that attends! This is a good opportunity to remind everyone how to keep healthy and injury-free during marching band season.

AP&W is a multidisciplinary health facility that houses chiropractic, physical therapy, nutrition counseling and massage therapy. They strive to help local teams by providing sponsorship opportunities and a way for our community to become healthier. Dr. Krista sought out NCHS because of our reputation as a high-performing marching band and because she knows that marching band is truly a sport of the arts.

Following this event – if any parents, students and their family members feel they would like to take advantage of the sponsorship affiliation with AP&W they will get a discounted exam price of $49 that includes x-rays, a complete history and physical exam and an injury prognosis score (est. value of $350). All the proceeds from those exams will then be donated back to the band for more funding and support from Dr. Krista and AP&W.

Their goal is to be involved in our community and give back as much as they can.
